ABOUT ME,MYSELF,AND I. (last year)
My name is Daniel. I am nearly 15 and I enjoy many things, though mainly dirt biking, quads, sports, hanging out with friends, and doing anything I consider fun. I was born in Grande Prairie, Alberta, and I also grew up here. I had many things happen in my childhood, such as, nearly breaking my neck, my arm, and butchering chickens and pigs, to name a few interesting things. I was homeschooled till grade 4, then I came to St. Mary's Sexsmith. The smart goals I have are, good grades in school, good job, happy family later on in life, good friends, be a good christian, and to lead a happy life. The jobs I have in mind for when i'm older are either a chef, policeman, or guard. I have been coming here ever since and I am now in grade 8. I have done many fun things in my life time, such as going camping every summer in either the middle of nowhere or in the middle of a city. In the summer of 2013, I went to Disneyland, California Adventure and Seaworld, California, and Universal Studios, Hollywood. I came back to school then went to the middle of nowhere again in the summer of 2014. I still currently live in G.P. , A.B. and now have 5 siblings, one of whom is older than me.

New year new me!
So now i'm 16 and am still the same, almost, besides the fact that i'm bigger, and maybe stronger, and i can drive. I am also starting to attempt multiple different flips used in parkour/freerunning, such as the b-twist, the aerial, the side flip, cork 360, and the backflip. I still love guns and knives and hunting and dirt biking, so not a lot has changed, other than the fact that i still love scootering, and have gotten better than i was two years ago, so here's a couple videos explaining what i have just told you about. i also like making thing out of paper, mostly wepons, but airplanes and boats work too. I also love snowboarding, as I have been snowboarding since 11 years old, and now i am in love with the sport, as it is one of the most physically demanding sports i have ever participated in. It is also a fairly dangerous sport, but that's the point of all sports, because people get an adrenaline rush from the sports they play, so they do it as often as possible so that they have fun and get better at what they do. There is a quote that keeps me going and inspires me to keep working at what I want to be good at. It says, "when you want to achieve something as badly as you want to breath, that is when you will succeed." I believe that this is true, because if you work at something as constantly as you breathe, you will become great at what it is you're practicing. Besides the sports listed, I have also played soccer, football, basketball and volleyball. But the sport I really like is badminton. It's a fast paced, difficult sport if you're actually playing it, and not playing backyard grandma badminton. Because if you play against somebody who is competitive and good, it's quite difficult to win if you're actually trying and not just whacking the shuttle around lightly. Speaking of badminton, I have a couple friends who are playing badminton this year, also, and their names are Liam and Tylan. Tylan is new in our class and I have found that he is much like my other friends, in the sense that we are about as country as you can get. Tylan enjoys hunting, quad trips, and playing sports. Liam is similar, because he enjoys hunting, dirt biking, shooting, playing with knives, takes care of goats and cows, and also enjoys sports. Ronin is another one of my friends. He enjoys dirtbiking, video games, and hanging out with his family. Colton is a friend that I have known since I can remember, and that's about 16 years. Colton and I enjoy shooting things, playing with knives, axes, etc., and we also enjoy building things. We are working on a fort right now, and it is coming along quite nicely.
Disliking's: There is almost nothing that I don't like, But the few things that I can think of are Trump, Hillary, eggplant, sulfur, and other disgusting things like that. I also dislike certain sports, volleyball, tennis, and skiing to name a few. I do, however, enjoy snowboarding and think it is one of the best sports you can participate in, as it is one of the most physically taxing, and

Smart Goals
Specific: Pass grade 9:
Measurable: With a average of 85%- 90%
Attainable: Keep my life organized, in and out of school.
Realistic: All that I have said so far
Time-based: Get all my homework in on time so I achieve the second one.
Specific: Keep myself healthy and exercised. I want to be able to say that I have kept myself 100% fit and healthy throughout the past year. I'm not a lump of fat that just sits around doing nothing, but I'm definitely not as strong or durable as I'd like to be.
Measurable: Keep myself on a workout schedule and gradually increase it until I am thoroughly fit.
Attainable: Keep a steady schedule that won't interfere with my education or homework.
Realistic: Eat healthily, and don't waste a lot of time playing games.
Time-based: Keep going until the end of the year. And then keep going.
Specific: Keep the yard and house looking nice.
Measurable: I would like to keep our house and yard looking nice so that it doesn't look messy, so it actually is organized and neat.
Attainable: Get the kids to clean up after themselves or put away anything they use after.
Realistic: Keep my room and the kitchen organized and looking nice.
Time-based: Have my room completely organized and cleaned by the end of they year.(work on it whenever I can)

Jobs i'd find fun/interesting
Trucking: I think that this would a great moneymaking opportunity and it would also be good for a work ethic lesson. Because my dad has a trucking business in the oil field and he's done great in life, and I would like to follow in his footsteps. The average oilfield trucker makes twice as much as a road trucker, and they make about 40,000 to 70,000 dollars a year. That's a well paying job.
Construction: The construction worker makes about 31,000 dollars a year, and I know a few people who have worked construction, and I think they have been very successful with their jobs. In a job like this, you would have to work hard to be hired again, and that's important in every job, cause if you're not hired, you're not making money and that means you're losing money. Fast Food: If worst comes to worst, I will try to find a job in a fast food joint or grocery store, cause even at minimum wage you're only making about 12.25 an hour, and that's still money. I would take that, because if you work every day in a month for an hour a day, that is about 367 dollars a month, and at 367 dollars a month, in one year you would make about 4,400 dollars a year. |
Future Life
I don't really have much of a plan for the rest of my life. I don't know exactly what I want to do, but I want to have a family, a nice house, and a smooth life. But the chances of that happening are always slim for everybody. So I'm going to make the best of it, and have fun and generally do the best you can. To me, a good life would be well behaved kids, no finance problems, and a happy family. Keeping your family under a roof, supplied with food, and education are the main concerns in a persons life.

Decision Making Strategies
In our lives, we face many decisions, some more difficult than others, while others are very easy and immediately decided. I'm focusing on the harder ones, and strategies to solve the answer from them. One such strategy is to ask God to help you decide and tell you the right answer. Another is to think long and hard about the pros and cons of each, whether you'll get the chance to do one again, or if one is a rare opportunity that you may never see again. Another strategy is to ask somebody older than you who may have experience in that certain situation, if circumstance permits. These are the solutions that I have come up with and used before. Another thing is procrastination. Procrastination is putting something off, or avoiding doing it, until you are either confronted with it by somebody in authority, or it must be done. Like homework. If you do it right away, good. But if you go and do something else and ignore it till the last second, you're procrastinating it. Don't procrastinate and just do what you need to do when you are first told to do it. Don't wait for the consequences.
